Give your consent and receive more targeted information from Nordea
As a Nordea customer, you can choose to receive tailored content on Facebook and Instagram. We select content for you based on your life situation and what you have shown interest in on our website.
Perhaps you have a mortgage with us or use other products and services? The point is that we would like to show you content that is relevant to you here and now.
How do we find you on social media?
To be able to show you relevant information, we must match your email address or phone number against Meta's user database. If you have given us consent, we send your email address and/or phone number to Facebook and Instagram in encrypted format. The encryption protects your identity.
This means that Meta can only connect your email address to you if you use the same email address on Facebook and/or Instagram.
We place you in a customer group that matches your interests
If the email address or phone number you have given us matches the information in Meta's database, we place you in customer groups with similar interests or life situations.
A group could, as an example, consist of people between 28-35 years old, without a mortgage, who have visited our housing pages. This helps us show you relevant information, such as tips about what you should consider when buying a new home.
We protect information about your finances and do not share it with Meta
We keep all information about your finances between us. We share no other personal information with Meta than your email address and phone number. Meta cannot use the information for anything other than matching it against our customer lists.
How you receive relevant information from us
If you want relevant content from us on Facebook and Instagram, you must:
- Be a Nordea customer and use our digital services (mobile banking app or netbank)
- Use the same email address and phone number with us as you use for Facebook and/or Instagram
- Give us permission to share your email address and phone number with Meta in encrypted format. This allows us to show you relevant information in your feed on Facebook and/or Instagram
How to give and withdraw your consent
To see an overview of your consents:
- Log in to the mobile banking app or the netbank
- Click on your profile at the bottom right (in the app) or on "Consents" under your name at the top right (in the netbank)
- Give your consent for us to show you relevant advice and offers on Facebook and/or Instagram
If you had a valid consent when your email address and phone number were sent to Meta, and you later withdraw your consent, it may take up to 24 hours before you are removed from the customer group you are part of.
