Valid identification for the establishment of a new customer relationship
On establishing a customer relationship Nordea is required to ask for valid identification in writing. A description of documents accepted as valid identification for this purpose is given below.
The documents must be original. An expired document will not be regarded as valid.
Only the following documents are accepted as valid identification for personal customers on the establishment of a new customer relationship:
- Norwegian bank card.
- Bank identification (w/photo) issued by Nordea in Sweden, Denmark and Finland.
- Valid passport (not emergency passport) or other approved travel documents, including national ID cards issued by a country within the EU.
- ID card issued by the Norwegian Postal Service after 1 October 1994.
- Norwegian driving licence (the old "green licences" are not valid)
- Nordic driving licence according to EU/EEA standard.
- Norwegian immigrant’s passport (blue)
- Norwegian refugee travel document (green)
